The sale of the largest congress center in Serbia - the Sava Center, was done this morning through a public tender. This was the third attempt to sell this symbol of Belgrade.

Delta Congress Center was the only bidder in the public sale of the Sava Center announced by the City of Belgrade

It is envisaged that the buyer will invest at least 50 million euros in the adaptation and reconstruction of the congress complex, which is located on almost three hectares of construction land, within five years.

The buyer, apart from the fact that he should invest at least 50 million euros in the adaptation and reconstruction of the congress complex within five years, has the obligation not to change the purpose of the "Sava" Center.

It should still remain in the function of congress tourism, bearing in mind that the facility enjoys the status of prior protection. Artistic-historical works, as immovable and movable cultural goods in the building, are not the subject of sale.

"When concluding the contract with the buyer, a penalty in the amount of 20 percent of the achieved purchase price will be agreed, in case the future buyer does not fulfill in full or partially the assumed obligations, as well as to provide a first-class bank guarantee as security for possible payment of the contractual penalty. ", It is stated in the public announcement published by the City of Belgrade.
