Out of the total number of permits issued in June, 81.6% of the permits pertain to buildings, while 18.4% refer to other structures. When looking at buildings alone, 80.3% of the permits were issued for residential buildings, and 19.7% for non-residential buildings. As for other structures, the majority are related to pipelines, communication, and power lines (65.2%), as reported by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.

According to the permits issued in June 2024 in the Republic of Serbia, the construction of 3,026 apartments has been reported, with an average area of 71.7 m².

Of the total number of apartments in new residential buildings, 11.6% of the apartments will be built in single-family buildings, with an average area of 139.6 m², while 86.6% of the apartments will be built in buildings with three or more apartments, with a significantly smaller average area of 60.7 m².

The projected value of new construction work in June 2024 amounts to 84.9% of the total projected value of work. When viewed by region, the highest construction activity is expected in the Belgrade region—24.8% of the projected value of new construction, followed by the Nišava region (16.3%), the Mačva region (11.1%), the Srem region (9.6%), the South Bačka region (7.6%), and the Central Banat region (6.4%). The participation of other regions ranges from 0.1% to 3.4%.

Compared to the same month last year, the value of planned new construction decreased by 41.2%.
